This website is about my professional interests and the chances are you will not find lots of other stuff here. About me

For the rest of you - my name is Dimitar Kovachev. I know most of you will find it too long, so I will use DimKov and DK instead. Feel free to use the short versions.
I live in the North Chicago suburbs and I am available for contract work in the Chicago area.

What I do

What I do is web development, web administration, search engine optimization (SEO), Web Design to certain extend (meaning that if you need the most stunning Flash website and you do not care at all how the people will find it, you are on the wrong website - there are far better designers than me). This is the main reason I will keep my index page in this simple, kind of ugly looking way, so all of you looking for designers are disappointed early enough and run away...

Special Interests

*AI - Artificial Intelligence branch of computer science, dealing with intelligent behavior, learning and adaptation in machines. AI systems are now in everyday use in economics, medicine, engineering and the military, as well as into many home computer software applications.

*Ajax - Asynchronous JavaScript And XML, or its acronym, Ajax, is a Web development technique for creating interactive web applications. The intent is to make web pages more responsive (read more like the desktop applications). This is achieved by exchanging data with the server behind the scenes, without reloading the entire Web page. Ajax is meant to increase the Web page's interactivity, speed, and usability. The Ajax technique uses a combination of:
- XHTML (or HTML), CSS, for marking up and styling.
- The DOM accessed with a client-side scripting language like JavaScript to dynamically display and interact with the presented information.
- The XMLHttpRequest object to exchange data asynchronously with the web server.
- For transferring data back from the server - XML is commonly used, but the use of JSON, plain text, HTML is also possible.
